Five things I love to do when I am not behind the camera
Updated: May 13
1. Interior arranging
I just love making little groupings of things in and around my home and I am often moving them around to make new arrangements. I have to be careful not to keep buying little bits and pieces to add in because although I love these little groupings, I do not love a cluttered home, and I also do not love waste. My family often come home to find things in a new place.
I have recently learned to crochet and I am finding it a really meditative hobby. I just work away on little baby blankets and hats that I can use in my studio, when I have time. I find it relaxing and there really is something about creating something from scratch.
3. Hanging with my family
I feel so lucky that I am married to my best friend and we have one child (who came along after a long fight with infertility issues). I just love to hang out with them both. Our life is fairly simple and we are all very happy being at home. We love walking our dog at the park or the beach and also love catching up with friends.
4. Walking the dog
We have the cutest little dog - Minnie. She is a Cavoodle which is a mix between a poodle and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. She really is the sweetest thing - super calm and chilled and so easy to have as part of our family. One of the best tings about having a dog is that they get you out for a walk every day. Minnie is at her happiest running around at a park or on the beach.
You may have already guessed from some of the photos that I love books and I love to read. I love a good novel that digs into drama and relationships, and I also really love non-fiction in the form of self-help and inspirational content. I just love the way the books all look on the shelf and I have a constant pile to read next to my bed. Stu and Elijah also love books so it is safe to assume that we have a lot of books in our house!
